Self/ Expression.
Not mutually exclusive.

If ever I had an inhibition, this would be it.

harmful heart-to-hearts

unsmiling eyes on top a teeth-baring mouth

deadened air displaced by human bodies

deafening questions about my ego.

understanding I can’t be fully understood.
understanding when others say complete comprehension is impossible.
understanding that I forgot I can’t be fully understood.
knowing that I’ll forget it soon.

-excerpt from bliss, 2023

  • A genuine moment that doesn’t matter. Smiling because we’re supposed to. Taking up space while contributing nothing. “Am I full of it?” I know that no matter how hard I try to express myself, I’ll never quite get what I want: Perfect Understanding. People say it’s okay that no one ever really gets each other. And it is. but when I remember
    Perfect Understanding, I begin to forget.

Hevel.

Smoke;

Meaningless-ness;

A blowing of the wind.

- Hevel, stippling self-portrait; 2018
